Canada Inks Up! Team Blog Hop

I made several examples of the side easel card for this blog hop.

MEASUREMENTS:

Cut 1 piece of cardstock 5 1/2" X 8 1/2".  I used the Fresh Freesia cardstock.  One of the new colours from the In-Color 2021-2023.

Cut 1 piece of of (DSP) Designer Series Paper 4" X 3 1/4"; I used the gingham from the Pansy Patch.

Cut 1 piece of DSP 1 3/4" X 2", 1 piece of DSP 1 3/4" X 1", 1 piece of DSP 1 3/4" X 3/4".  I used the Hand-Penned DSP.

Cut 1 piece of white cardstock 4" X 3 1/4".

INSTRUCTIONS:
  • Score the cardstock on the long side at 8 1/2".  Add four more score lines at 6 3/8", 3 1/8", 3" and 1" but only extend these score lines out to 2" from the long edge.
  • Fold the cardstock on the 4 1/4" score line.  Fold on the other score lines.
  • To make the sentiment and decorate the front of the card, I embossed a piece of white cardstock 4" X 2".  I then used a Blender brush and Soft Succulent ink to colour this piece of cardstock.  On this, I mounted another piece of white cardstock cut out with a die from the Colour and Contour dies set.  I then mounted greenery from the Quiet Meadow dies and Hand-Penned Bundle
  • Here are two more examples of cards I made following this design.
